Liquip offers a drain plug for API couplers that allows users to drain the loading arm if the arm is fitted with an API coupler that conforms to API RP 1004 for service and maintenance purposes.
Operation
Fit the plug into the API valve, this will disengage the mechanical override and allow the valve to be opened and the contents can be drained into a suitable container.
It is recommended to use the APIDP100 in conjunction with a Liquip butterfly valve.
